The authorities of Denmark have reminded Britons that the deadline to apply for residence permits under the Withdrawal Agreement between the EU and the UK expires on December 31, 2023.
British citizens and their family members covered by the Withdrawal Agreement must be aware of applying before the end of the year.

According to the Danish Immigration Service, all those who meet the conditions for residence under the Withdrawal Agreement, including those who had legal residence in accordance with the EU rules on free movement before December 3, 2021, can apply for the residence permit.
However, it has been stressed that people who have the right of residence in Denmark under the Withdrawal Agreement should not apply again, SchengenVisaInfo.com reports.
Moreover, it was stressed that the extended deadline applies only to those who have not previously submitted an application.
The extended deadline also applies to those who submitted their applications after the original deadline expired and received a rejection to have their application processed.
In addition to the above-mentioned, the Danish Immigration Service said that all British citizens and their family members who do not already hold a document proving their right of residence in Denmark under the Withdrawal Agreement must submit an application.
As for those who have submitted an application and received a rejection to have their application processed, the authority said that they can ask the Danish Agency for Internationa Recruitment and Integration to have their case reopened.
If you previously have received a rejection to have your application processed by SIRI and the Immigration Appeals Board due to submitting the application too late, you can, based on the extended deadline, ask SIRI to have your case reopened.
