After the devastating floods that recently hit Slovenia, civil protection teams from the Civil Protection Mechanism of the European Union arrived in that country, and for the first time, they included teams from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
EU Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid published a post on its Twitter profile in which it thanked the teams from Bosnia and Herzegovina who are working hard on their first mission with the Civil Protection Mechanism of the European Union.
“A total of six excavators are actively engaged in three different locations in Slovenia that were affected by the recent floods,” they stated in the announcement.
Earlier, on the basis of the Decision of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, it was determined that assistance for protection and rescue will be provided in heavy machinery, i.e. excavators with crews from the protection and rescue structures of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina for a duration of 10 days, and according to the Order of the Federal Headquarters of Civil Protection is the engagement of protection and rescue services from Sarajevo Canton.
